Dear Hiring Team,
I'm applying for the Software Engineer II (Backend) role at Paywise. I've spent three years building payment services in Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL at PayTrail, and your work on real-time settlement is the problem space I want to go deeper in.
Two things from my current role match what your posting describes. I rebuilt our webhook pipeline on RabbitMQ with idempotency keys, which now handles 1.5 million events a day without duplicate charges. I also cut p95 latency on our merchant APIs from 480ms to 140ms with Redis caching and query batching.
I care about reliability as much as features: I wrote our on-call runbooks and contract tests that reduced partner integration bugs.
